Sautéed Green Beans Garlic Almonds (Print Version)

Tender green beans sautéed with garlic and toasted almonds for a flavorful crisp side.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

→ Nuts

03 - 1/4 cup sliced almonds

→ Oils & Fats

04 - 2 tbsp olive oil

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/2 tsp sea salt, or to taste
06 - 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

# How To Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water to halt cooking. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Toast sliced almonds, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant, approximately 2 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
04 - Add drained green beans to the skillet. Sauté, stirring frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through and crisp-tender.
05 - Season with sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and optional lemon juice. Toss to combine flavors evenly.
